Neurons and Vessels are examples of tubular structures that can be traced using our automated algorithms. Tracing the structures provides the skeleton, or backbone, that represents the tree structure. The structure surface can alternatively be Segmented for other forms of analysis. We have the following tracing algorithms:
- MDL
- Superelipsoid
- RPI Trace 3D
- Spine Ring Detector
The outputs are stored in a trace file that can be validated and edited with the Trace Editor
